Employee Spotlight: Hannah Narain

Q. What’s your experience been like with our company culture?

Laundrylux has a collaborative and supportive culture. Our team members are always willing to help and engage in problem-solving to get the job done. Additionally, our leadership encourages open communication, ensuring everyone feels valued in their role. 

How would you describe your team? 

My team is detail oriented, hardworking, and always willing to step up when needed. We rely on each other’s expertise to solve problems and improve processes.  

Q. What does a typical day in your role look like? 

A typical day in my role involves a mix of processing payroll, assisting employees with benefits-related questions, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. I also collaborate closely with our HR team members and Accounting.  

Q. Which aspects of our mission resonate with you the most? 

LaundryLux’s focus on innovation and high-quality solutions aligns with my goal to provide employees with the most beneficial systems and processes for payroll and benefits administration. 

Q. What are some of your biggest accomplishments with the team? 

Recently, our team worked on the consolidation of LaundryLux Distribution, handling everything from payroll to benefits. We successfully rolled out a seamless transition, ensuring the needs of both the business and employees at the forefront of our work. 

Q. Who within the company inspires you the most? 

Women like Maureen Rowley and Aubrey Pollesch inspire me to dream big in my roles, especially within the Women’s Initiative space, where we can collaborate to bring in new and exciting opportunities while celebrating women in the laundry industry! 

Q. What resources have you utilized during your time with us? 

I have taken advantage of internal training and plan to pursue HR certifications to continue my education on regulations and best practices, with the support of LaundryLux! 

Q. What are your favorite benefits, and why? 

My favorite benefit is the 401k plan, as the company offers a generous match and profit sharing. I always encourage employees to take advantage of the program. It’s great to work for a company that invests in its employees! 

Q. What do you find to be the most unique part of working here? 

Every day at LaundryLux feels brand-new, with interesting opportunities and challenges. There is also a strong sense of community, which ensures employees feel supported and valued. 

Q. How have you grown professionally since joining the team? 

I have gained valuable experience in employee relations and problem-solving. My knowledge of benefits administration has also grown significantly, and my public speaking abilities have improved as well. 

Q. If you could switch jobs with anyone at LaundryLux, what role would you take on? 

I would love to switch jobs with someone in Marketing for the day. It would be interesting to see how they develop brand strategies and engage with customers in a creative way.
