As an HR professional at Laundrylux, my main responsibilities include managing the recruitment and onboarding processes for both Laundrylux and Laundrylux Distribution. In addition to that, I am also focused on building and preserving a positive company culture by coordinating staff events and raffles and establishing strong relationships with employees.

Q. What do you love about working at Laundrylux and/or the laundry industry?
What I love about working at LLX is the people, everyone you meet is passionate about the work they do. We all have one mission to succeed.

Q. What I like about laundry industry & Laundrylux
Entrepreneurial brand, small businesses are the heart of USA. If you were interested in opening up a laundromat, we are a one stop shop, we can help you with financing support and marketing support to ensure you would be able to be successful. I think that is a unique strategy that opens up opportunity for potential customers.

Q. What do you see as important trends within the industry or within your field?
The pandemic, made companies realize that employees are not robots, they are people with feelings and opinions. The field of HR has grown so much due to it and work culture had immerged. Culture is a feeling, fueled by actions that maintain employee motivation. At Laundrylux we work hard and we make sure to have fun too! Next to compensation, culture is just as important to people on where they decide where they will go to next. In order for any organization to continue to be successful, strategy, structure, people, rewards and processes must be aligned.

Q. What is your proudest moment in your career and why?
Achieving my Masters in Industrial and Organization Psychology, Organizational Behavior. It made me want to work in HR.

I always wanted to help people, my whole life. I got my BA in Psychology and I had intentions of going to be a psychologist. However, I did NOT want to go to med school to become a doctor. You need that to prescribe medication.

I decided to get my degree in I/O Psych with a focus on Organizational behavior, the study of what people do and how we can improve an organizations effectiveness and performance. In this world, nothing stays the same we are always looking for an easier way of doing things, a quicker solution and if you do not embrace the change then you will never grow. Being in HR, is how I help people at work and I hope to continue to be a champion of change

Q. What is one fun fact about you that most people do not know?
I have over 100 pairs of boots and sneakers

Q. If you could trade jobs with someone at Laundrylux- what job/role would it be?
Ernesto, Sr. Director of Brand Engagement — I would love the opportunity to travel to new places and meet people from East to West coast. My goal is to be a trainer, I love teaching people.
