This year, industry veteran Howard Herman celebrates his 40th year with Laundrylux, distributor of Wascomat and Electrolux Professional laundry equipment. A true success story, Howard started out in the warehouse and worked his way up to President, learning every aspect of the business. Howard is well-respected throughout the laundry industry and serves on the Board of the Coin Laundry Association.

“Howard has been a mentor to me and a guiding force at Laundrylux,” shares CEO Neal Milch. “Customers, distributors, and other industry players rely on his knowledge and constantly seek out his advice and guidance. He is quite possibly the most knowledgeable and competent person in his field today. He has tremendous dedication, drive, and a true commitment to the industry. We rely on his expertise and keen insight everyday.”

To honor this very special occasion, Neal Milch threw a surprise party and the entire Laundrylux team celebrated in style at the Allegria Hotel in Long Beach, New York.  Industry pioneer Bernard Milch, now retired from Laundrylux, and his wife Lusia were in attendance, as well as Neal’s wife Lesley.  Howard’s wife of 45 years, Terry, and grown children Laurie and Harris, along with their spouses and Howard’s grandchildren also took part in the festivities. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres were served rooftop with dinner following in a beautiful seaside banquet hall.  Neal made a heart-felt speech and then Dan Goldman, long-time Laundrylux employee, did the roast!

Neal Milch grew up in the business with Howard. “Howard is a true inspiration.  We would not be where we are today without Howard Herman. Here’s to another 40 years!”

“I can’t believe how fast 40 years has flown by,” says Howard. “I still love being in the laundry business and I truly enjoy the work, the people, and the challenges we face everyday.  I was extremely touched that the Milch family, my family, and all the Laundrylux employees were there to celebrate with me. It was a terrific surprise and I thank everyone from the bottom of my heart.”
